Helen Gillet

Belgian-born Helen Gillet is a singer-songwriter and surrealist-archeologist focusing on the worlds of electronic sound and acoustic cello. She moved to New Orleans in 2002, where she has developed an eclectic palette of experimental, jazz, folk, funk, pop and classical. Gillet’s solo performance is known for its enigmatic quality as each song is played with a mastery of live looping technology.
